NOTE: You will not be able to submit your application until all the supplemental materials are uploaded.
- Conduct: A “yes” answer to either of the conduct questions on the online application will require a written explanation. Additional information may be requested when your application is under review. Applications will not be fully processed until all conduct issues are cleared.
- Application status: Once your application has been submitted, you can check your application status online to ensure transcripts and test scores have been received.
- Residency classification: Your residency classification automatically defaults to non-Florida. After you are admitted, the residency officer will request additional documents by email if needed.
Admission Requirements
Domestic Students
• Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree with GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Minimum of three (3) years of post-MSW experience
• Three (3) letters of recommendation
• Personal Statement & Capstone Proposal
• DSW Application
• Current Resume/CV
• A current social work license, license eligibility, or registration as a social work intern or its equivalent (in social work only)
• Interview as requested by the admissions committee
• Students will have a criminal background check, completed upon admission
International Students
• Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree with GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Minimum of three (3) years of post-MSW experience
• Three (3) letters of recommendation

• A current social work license, license eligibility, or registration as a social work intern or its equivalent (in social work only)
• TOEFL Score of 600 or IBT of 92-93 ; IELTS 7.0 ; Duolingo 115
• Interview as requested by the admissions committee
• A course-by-course evaluation of international transcripts is required; FAU will do the evaluation or it must be done by a NACES member
• Students will have a criminal background check, completed upon admission
